One of our prestigious clients is looking for experienced Drilling Rig Mechanics to join their team. Candidates should have relevant experience in maintaining, inspecting, and repairing drilling rigs and associated equipment to ensure reliable performance and safe drilling operations in a mining environment.

POSITION: Drilling Rig Mechanics

SALARY: 10,000 SAR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair drilling rigs and associated mechanical equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns and operational downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical faults in engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, transmissions, pumps, and other drilling rig components.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, hoses, fittings, and mechanical assemblies as required.
• Carry out regular inspections of drilling equipment to identify wear, damage, leaks, and potential mechanical failures.
• Maintain drilling rig engines and related systems in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs to restore operations safely.
• Assist with equipment installation, assembly, dismantling, and relocation when required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment condition.
• Coordinate with drilling supervisors and operators to identify equipment issues and prioritize maintenance work.
• Ensure tools, workshop equipment, and spare parts are used and stored correctly.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures during maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure equipment is isolated and secured before carrying out maintenance work.
• Report major mechanical faults, recurring problems, and spare parts requirements to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop and work area.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant experience as a Drilling Rig Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar role.
• Technical qualification or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Good knowledge of drilling rig mechanical systems, engines, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
• Ability to use mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance instruments safely.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and equipment inspection practices.
• Ability to identify mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures, equipment isolation, and safe maintenance practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to equipment breakdowns in operational environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.
• Willingness to work in remote mining locations and follow site-specific requirements.
