One of our prestigious clients in Kuwait is looking for experienced Senior Mechanical Estimation Engineers to join their team immediately.

The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and reviewing mechanical estimates, BOQs and quantity take-offs, analyzing project requirements, supporting tendering activities, coordinating with suppliers and ensuring accurate costing for MEP, plumbing, fire-fighting and HVAC projects.

SALARY: KWD 400 – 600

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and review detailed mechanical estimates for MEP, plumbing, fire-fighting and HVAC projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications and tender documents to determine project requirements.
• Prepare and review BOQs and accurate quantity take-offs.
• Calculate material, labour and equipment costs for mechanical works.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and commercial proposals.
• Review tender documents and identify project scope and requirements.
• Support tendering activities and prepare competitive bids.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and technical information.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations and compare pricing.
• Assist with cost optimization and value engineering where required.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams regarding project requirements.
• Maintain accurate estimation records, cost data and supporting documentation.
• Review project variations and assist with cost impact assessments.
• Monitor market prices and maintain updated cost information for mechanical materials and equipment.
• Ensure estimates are prepared accurately and within required deadlines.
• Provide technical and commercial support to project and management teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of Gulf experience in mechanical estimation or a relevant engineering role.
• Relevant experience in MEP, plumbing and fire-fighting systems.
• Strong experience in HVAC estimation and costing.
• Good knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing mechanical cost estimates.
• Good knowledge of MEP tendering procedures and documentation.
• Experience in supplier and subcontractor quotation evaluation.
• Good understanding of MEP materials, equipment and installation requirements.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple tender requirements.
