One of our prestigious clients in Qatar is looking for experienced Senior Oil Spill Responders to join their team immediately.

The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising and supporting oil spill response operations, coordinating response teams, deploying containment and recovery equipment, and ensuring all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

SALARY: Negotiable – Based on experience and qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and supervise oil spill response activities during emergency and planned operations.
• Coordinate response teams during oil spill containment, recovery, and cleanup activities.
• Assess spill situations and support the implementation of appropriate response strategies.
• Deploy and operate oil spill response equipment including booms, skimmers, pumps, hoses, and recovery systems.
• Ensure effective containment and recovery of spilled oil and contaminated materials.
• Coordinate with supervisors, site personnel, marine teams, and other relevant departments.
• Conduct inspections of spill response equipment and ensure equipment is maintained and ready for deployment.
• Monitor response activities and ensure operations follow approved procedures and response plans.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior oil spill responders.
• Conduct toolbox talks and communicate safety procedures before response activities.
• Ensure correct use of PPE and compliance with HSE requirements.
• Maintain records of spill response activities, equipment usage, recovered materials, and incidents.
• Assist with spill response drills, emergency exercises, and training programs.
• Identify hazards and take appropriate measures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure recovered oil and contaminated waste are handled, stored, and disposed of according to approved procedures.
• Prepare and submit operational reports to supervisors or management.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure all response equipment is properly stored after operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant technical qualification or training in Oil Spill Response, Environmental Management, Marine Operations, HSE, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Oil Spill Responder, Oil Spill Response Technician, Spill Response Supervisor, or similar position.
• Strong practical knowledge of oil spill containment, recovery, and cleanup operations.
• Experience operating oil spill response equipment and recovery systems.
• Good knowledge of oil spill response plans, procedures, and emergency response practices.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a response team effectively.
• Good understanding of environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Experience working in marine, oil & gas, petroleum, industrial, or environmental response environments will be an advantage.
• Ability to assess operational hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
• Good communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding outdoor, marine, or industrial environments.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs when required.
• GCC/Qatar experience will be an added advantage.
• Relevant oil spill response, HSE, marine, or environmental certifications will be an advantage.
