One of our prestigious clients is looking for experienced Rigging Team Leaders to join their team immediately.

The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising rigging activities, coordinating rigging teams, ensuring safe lifting operations, and supporting the efficient movement and installation of heavy equipment and materials.

SALARY:

Negotiable – Based on experience and qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and lead rigging teams during lifting and material-handling operations.
• Plan and coordinate daily rigging activities according to project requirements.
• Ensure all lifting and rigging operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Inspect lifting equipment, rigging gear, slings, shackles, hooks, and other accessories before use.
• Ensure proper selection and use of rigging equipment according to load requirements.
• Coordinate with crane operators, supervisors, engineers, and site personnel.
• Guide riggers in correct rigging, signaling, lifting, and positioning procedures.
• Ensure loads are properly secured, balanced, and safely moved.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate safe working procedures to the rigging team.
• Monitor work areas and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
• Identify potential hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure lifting operations follow approved lifting plans and procedures.
• Maintain records of inspections and rigging activities when required.
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, and incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Train and mentor riggers and junior team members.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure proper storage of rigging equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant technical qualification or certification in Rigging, Lifting Operations, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Rigging Team Leader, Rigging Supervisor, Senior Rigger, or similar position.
• Strong practical knowledge of rigging and lifting operations.
• Good knowledge of cranes, lifting equipment, slings, shackles, hooks, spreader beams, and other rigging accessories.
• Ability to read and understand lifting plans and basic technical drawings.
• Knowledge of safe working loads, load calculations, and proper rigging techniques.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a team effectively.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in demanding industrial or construction environments.
• Relevant GCC/overseas experience will be an added advantage.
• Valid rigging/lifting certification will be an advantage.
