One of our prestigious clients in Qatar is looking for experienced Mechanical Design AutoCAD Draftsmen to join their team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing accurate mechanical design, shop, fabrication, layout, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD, while coordinating with engineers, project teams, and site personnel. SALARY:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare detailed 2D mechanical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Develop mechanical design, shop, fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings.
• Prepare detailed layouts, sections, elevations, and technical details.
• Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, specifications, and project requirements.
• Revise drawings based on comments from engineers, consultants, clients, and site teams.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings according to actual site conditions.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with other disciplines and project teams.
• Identify drawing discrepancies and coordinate with engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain proper drawing numbers, revisions, registers, and document records.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, approved standards, and required formats.
• Assist engineers with technical documentation and drawing-related requirements.
• Conduct site measurements or site visits when required.
• Support quantity take-offs and material documentation when required.
• Complete drawings accurately within project deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Drafting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsman / Mechanical Design Draftsman.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of mechanical design and technical drafting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, MEP, HVAC, piping, or industrial projects will be an advantage depending on project requirements.
• Experience with AutoCAD 3D, Revit, SolidWorks, or other design software will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of drawing standards, dimensions, scales, and technical documentation.
• Qatar/GCC project experience will be an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
