One of our prestigious clients in Saudi Arabia who is a leading Five Star Deluxe Hotel is looking for experienced "Commis" to join them immediately.
# SALARY: SAR 2000 (Avg. Rs. 173,000)
# Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist the kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as directed by senior chefs.
- Assist in cooking and grilling meats, vegetables, and other food items.
- Plate and present dishes according to established standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
- Assist in monitoring food stock levels and notifying the senior chefs of any shortages.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the senior chefs or kitchen management.
# REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience as a commis or in a similar role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects if required.
- Education or training in culinary arts or a related field is a plus.
